This cute cottage is situated in the very popular Caledon Street in the older part of the village. It has a spacious lounge with double-volume ceiling and large fireplace to keep one cosy on cold winter evenings. The cottage is furnished with an eclectic mix of Cape antiques and contemporary furniture with a French country feel. The artist-owner’s original art works adorn the walls.
The open plan dining/kitchen area has ample built-in cupboards, a gas cooker with electric oven and double door fridge freezer. Adequate and functional kitchen equipment makes it a joy to prepare meals in this convivial space while the long Oregon table invites guests to share leisurely meals around the large fireplace which can also be used as an oven. French cottage pane doors open out on the back veranda.
All rooms lead onto either a covered verandah, a private patio on the side or a sheltered back patio. The front verandah runs along the length of the house and is an ideal space for lazy afternoons while watching the sun set and enjoying the variety of bird life in the mature garden.
Bedrooms: There are two bedrooms, main with queen bed and built in cupboards. The second bedroom has an alcove with a single bed and a lovely old rocking chair.
Bathrooms: Main en suite bathroom with bath and shower. Second bathroom has en suite access to a bathroom with bath.
